Dragonland introduces kids to Asia

CDBF 2011 Dragonland

Since our very first festival in 2001, Dragonland has provided children the opportunity to explore and learn about Asian Pacific cultures through hands-on arts and crafts.

Come explore and engage with various local youth organizations that strive to enrich the lives of children. Decorate a Chinese mask or Asian fan, learn how to fold Origami (Japanese paper folding), or have your face painted by students from the Colorado Chinese Language School. In 2011, Dragonland introduced storytelling time and performances by local Asian community groups.

We’re also adding new Asian-inspired arcade-style games to entertain and keep your kids coming back for more. Bubble stations will be available for soapy fun. Kid-friendly snacks and refreshments will be located nearby.

So, bring your children and stop by for the new and improved features located within Dragonland!

Or they can make a Chinese lantern mobile out of construction paper and decorate it with medallions showing Chinese symbols for such character traits as loyalty, diligence, and bravery. To whom it may concern:
I noticed that there is no mention of the Philippine-American Society of Colorado (PASCO) Dance Repertoire performing at Dragonland Stage. Our group is scheduled to present dances at 1PM.

    Thank you
    Marelyne

Hi Marelyne, thanks for your comment! Although you’re scheduled to perform in Dragonland, we actually don’t have a set schedule that we can post for any other Dragonland performances or storytelling sessions. You can promote the Dragonland performance when you’re on the Gateway to Asia stage, and we’ll try to promote Dragonland a lot from the Main Stage too, so I’m sure plenty of people will know when you’re performing in the kids’ area. Thanks for being part of the festival!

Hi, I’ve added PASCO to this page, and mention your 1 pm performance on Saturday. Thanks again for your comment!
