Dragonland introduces kids to Asia
sponsored by the Denver Zoo
Dragonland, CDBF’s popular children’s area, is getting a reboot for the Year of the Dragon!
For 2012, we’re introducing a new performing arts stage in Dragonland where children will be able to learn hip-hop moves from Hype 303, Chinese traditional dances from Christina Yeh Dance Studio, Bollywood style grooves from Mudra Dance Studio and much more for a kids dance party! In addition, traditional Asian stories will be shared along with mixed martial art demonstrations.
Dragonland is also introducing Dragon Water Balls. These are transparent hollow balls that allow you to walk, jump, flip, crawl, roll or just float on both water and land without getting wet.
Our popular arts and crafts will be making a return, including Dragon Masks, facepainting, and temporary tattoos. There will also be Asian-inspired games like chopstick relays, dragon eye toss, and the classic fishing game, which will entertain as well as keep your kids coming back for more. And, of course, favorites including magician Richard Nakata and Bongo the Balloon Man are back!
In support of the recent opening of Toyota Elephant Passage, the Denver Zoo will be at Dragonland displaying real animals from the Chinese Zodiac! Come and join in on all the new and exciting activities for everyone to enjoy!

thanks so much!

Hi, we’ll get the answers to your questions from our vendors.
Thanks for posting your comment!
I am interested in the water balls as well!
Is there a fee? Is there a weight limit? And are there certain times to do it? Please respond ASAP. We would love to be there.
Hi Darby and everyone interested n the balls — we have some updates. First, the company that was going to have the balls on land (Xorbs) has cancelled because of safety reasons — they think it will be too hot for the enclosed bubbles.
Second, the water ball company will still be there, but instead of balls they’ll use tubes, which are vented at the ends so you’ll stay safe. The cost will be $10 for a 10-minute roll on the water near Dragonland, and there is no weight limit that we are aware of. The rollers can fit two people at a time.
Disappointing that there will be no water balls. I was excited.
