We’re very excited to announce that as part of our committment to celebrating athletic competition and healthy lifestyles, we’re hosting the first-ever Dragon 5K Run/Walk at Sloan’s Lake on Sunday July 29 at 8 am, before the festival!

We want this to be a fun, family event, and commemorate the Year of the Dragon — so participants are welcome to wear dragon-themed costumes, masks and hats (we’ll supply the t-shirts).

Participants will enjoy performers at each mile marker along the course, which will circle Sloan’s Lake as the festival prepares for its second day of culture and competition. The winner will receive a trophy, prize and recognition on the CDBF website. Registration will start at 7 am, and the Run will kick off at 8 am while walkers can begin at 8:15 am.
