Dance2LiveThe Performing Arts Stage is set for the 2011 festival, and the lineup is a fantastic showcase of the depth and breadth of Asian and Asian American talent in the Denver area.

Alongside the favorites that have fans have come to expect at CDBF, like Denver Taiko, Wendy Woo, Christina Yeh Dance Studio, Mudra Dance Studio and FACC, we’re featuring some exciting newcomers this year. You’ll see hip-hop dance crew Dance2Live (shown here), and a couple of alternative rock bands — One Sun One Moon with Hmong and Laotian members, and Pearls For Breakfast featuring singer-songwriter Kenny Lee Young — but also Doug Yoshimura and the Cheapsuits Blues Band and soulful rocker Jack Hadley, who spectators might recognize because he’s played with Dwight Mark in recent years. This year Jack will showcase his own music. Other new performers include young Indian dancer Diya Deepak; Erhoopla, a unique duo that plays a traditional Chinese instrument; and Dudrim, a Korean drum group.
