![]() The Colorado Dragon Boat Festival is excited and proud to announce that Jennifer Q. Nguyen stepped into the role of Festival Director on April 19th! Jen is an avid community volunteer and held many leadership roles on the CDBF Operations Committee since 2011, including coordinating volunteers and managing the main stage. She brings a wealth of experience with her including mentoring, training, and supporting Asian American young women as an Executive Committee Member for the Miss Asian American Leadership Program. Jennifer has traveled nationally to fundraise and advocate for mental health awareness with the National Asian American Pacific Islander Mental Health Association. She is also very active on the Denver Curling Club board as the Communications Director. Jennifer graduated from the University of Denver with her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and went to CU Denver for her Master's in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education. She was appointed by Mayor Michael B. Hancock to be a member of the Denver Asian American Pacific Islander Commission under the city's Agency for Human Rights and Community Partnerships. We're delighted to have Jen on board to steer the festival!
