Our volunteers -- all 300 of them -- are the special team that makes every Colorado Dragon Boat Festival hum with efficiency from beginning to end. From festival Ambassadors and Information Booth staff to backstage hands for our Performing Arts and helpers for our exciting weekend of dragon boat races as well as crews for both setup and breakdown, we need volunteers of all types!
Take a look on our Festival Volunteer page at the many areas where we could use your help, and join our family and register as a volunteer. You won't regret it... and we won't forget it!

If you’re wondering what’s going on in the area’s diverse Asian communities, it’s easy to find out all the great events happening every week. We’ve added a special page of Asian Community Events listings that collects every event we come across (or is sent to us at media@cdbf.org), even if it’s months ahead so you can check in with us regularly to see what’s new and what's coming up.
From concerts and dance performances to community banquets and organizations' meetings to special events (like the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival!), we'll include everything so you can mark your calendars! With more than three months before the festival, the 2011 Dragon Boat Race team slots are almost all taken! We have several slots still open for Youth Teams, and for Hong Kong-style Competitive Teams.
We've decided to toss out a challenge to competitive dragon boat racers across the country (and the globe) and create special Pricing for Out-of-Town Teams to come and join us at CDBF. Most Westerners are familiar with "Chinese New Year," or Lunar New Year, which usually falls in February. In Denver there are a myriad of celebrations and banquets within the Asian communities, and events like lion dances at area shops and restaurants all month long.
But that's not the only new year observation in the local Asian community. Read more in our Culture Corner... If you're a member of a non-profit organization, here's a great opportunity to raise money for your group while you're having a weekend of great fun!
The Colorado Dragon Boat Festival’s Non-Profit Partner (NPP) program invites non-profit organizations representing a variety of missions and causes to earn money for their organization by supplying volunteers to work a designated booth selling festival items. Non-Profit Partners apply and, depending on openings, are assigned by the CDBF Beverage Manager to one of the following four areas of festival sales operations: Beer, Pepsi, Snow Cones or Merchandise Management. Help support the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival and help your organization! Apply now for your organization to be a 2011 Non-Profit Partner! |
