The Colorado Dragon Boat Festival was proud to be part of the Colfax Marathon on May 19. The marathon circled around Sloan’s Lake, where we had two boats practicing and racing against each other, and CDBF and Race Club members cheered on the runners as they passed by. CDBF Performing Arts Stage favorites Mudra Dance Studio also entertained the marathoners as they ran by. Congrats to the winners and ALL the runners!
The Colorado Dragon Boat Festival needs about 300 volunteers every year for the two-day event. Dedication from volunteers like you is the reason the festival succeeds and thrives year after year. Thank you for your interest in volunteering!
CDBF is adding a special volunteers dragon boat paddling opportunity this year! If you sign up as a volunteer and are interested in getting some hands-on paddling experience, check the “Yes! I’m interested!” box at the end of the volunteer application. Seating is limited so sign up today!

If you’re passionate about dragon boat racing, there’s a new club in town you can join. The Mile-Hi Dragonboat Racing Club is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit group that is separate from the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival, whose purpose is to help grow the sport of dragon boat racing in the area by providing access to coaching, training and equipment.
